The club’s rinks are situated in a corner of the grounds of Beverley Leisure Centre, close to the tennis courts.
The objective of the Flemingate Bowling Club is to promote and foster the “Flat Green” game of Bowls, to this end the club enters teams in league competitions within a number of local affiliated associations as well as organising social bowling for all members on Wednesday and Sunday afternoons during the outdoor season. (April to September)

The social committee also organises Club competitions running throughout the season as well as a number of other one off competitions. A “Finals Day” is held at the end of the season with games to decide the winners of the Mens, Ladies and Open Pairs Competitions. Final matches for other competitions may also be bowled on this day.

Members may use the facilities of the club and rinks for casual bowling on any day throughout the season with the exception of organised fixtures, competitions, or greens maintenance

The Club is always looking to attract new members and any interested individuals can either contact any of the club officers for information or just turn up at the club house on any Wednesday or Sunday afternoon at 1.15pm for sessions starting at 1.30pm. The club has a few sets of woods available for the use of new players to try. To protect the bowling rinks, flat smooth soled shoes or trainers should be worn. Instruction will be provided in the basic skills and rules of the game for all new members by our more experienced members. We are a friendly bunch who will be pleased to welcome you to the best bowling club in Beverley.
